The “Lotus series” of paintings is a presentation of spiritual symbolism: the process of the enlightenment. The lotus buds reach up towards the surface, come out of the water, and bloom. A person likewise can reach their full potential by overcoming negativity such as anger, greed, and jealousy. My wish is that by looking at and living with my pieces, one can achieve the state of tranquility, and live a life fully awakened.
